JEAN’S DAY FUNDRAISER ON APRIL 14th

The EPS is holding a district-wide Jeans Day Fundraiser on Thursday, April 14th to raise money and awareness for Addison’s Disease. Please give  your $5 donation to your building’s Administrative Assistant. All final contributions should be forwarded to Whittier School teacher, Theresa Naimo, who is spearheading this effort.

The district is holding this event in memory of former EPS student and employee Margaret Charbonnier.

“As one of her coworkers I can attest to her  dedication to the special education students that she worked with daily,” says Ms. Naimo.  “Ms. Maggie always greeted the students with a smile on her face and offered an extra  hug on a tough day.”

HELP GIVE US AN EDGE

The Everett Public Schools is seeking educators and building leaders to help us review the English Learners Curriculum Review Process. EL teachers and Principals and Assistant Principals who utilize and/or have experience with Edge are encouraged to join this effort. Participants will attend two one-hour meetings and complete at least 10 hours of asynchronous work via Canvas.

HIGH VISIBILITY

The English Learner Department is purchasing T-shirts for bilingual educators and staff members  to wear at Everett Public Schools (EPS) events so they are easily identifiable for our families seeking language support. If you are bilingual and willing to wear a T-shirt offering language support at any of the EPS events you might attend throughout the year, please complete THIS FORM by Tuesday, April 12th at 12:00 p.m.

Opportunities for EPS Staff

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES

The Everett Public Schools is seeking educators and staff members for Summer 2022. Once again, we are planning on offering a full array of opportunities, from academic programming to enrichment offerings. We are looking to fill the following openings:

Site Coordinators
Academic Teachers
Enrichment Teachers

The Summer School Site Coordinator is responsible for planning, supervising and implementing summer school programs at an EPS school to support both enrichment and academic learning for students.

Teachers will lead meaningful and engaging lessons over the summer at each of our schools to outfit in-house Math, ELA and Science programs to help prevent learning loss and to help students stay connected to academics over the summer.

Finally, we need teachers, coaches, and staff to leverage their  talents and skills and help us outfit our programming with offerings in fitness and athletics, arts, music, dance, robotics, cooking, technology, etc.
