MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Everett Public Schools is to meet the needs of every student in our diverse learning community. The Everett Public Schools is committed to providing a safe, supportive, challenging environment that empowers students to become productive members of society.

ADAMS AND WEBSTER SCHOOL EXTENSION PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS

Academic
• Letter identification and alphabet knowledge
• Identifying and counting numbers to 10
Social/Emotional
• Social/emotional lessons facilitated by guidance counselor
Civic
• Increase communication with parents through monthly newsletters and various applications
• Monthly outreach to parents about the importance of attendance in preschool

 

MADELINE C. ENGLISH SCHOOL

Academic
• ELA: Text features to help improve comprehension skills
• Math: Fact fluency in the four major operations
• Science: Expose students to strategies that foster science inquiry
Social/Emotional
• Restorative Justice in grades 6-8
• Monthly informational parent outreach to parents about importance of attendance
Civic
• Art and Green Infrastructure Project in collaboration with the City of Everett

 

GEORGE KEVERIAN SCHOOL

Academic
• ELA: Text features to help improve comprehension skills
• Math: Incorporate daily exit tickets and the CUBES strategy to increase students’ ability to solve multi-step problems
• Science: Collaborate with Mass STEM Hub and Project Lead the Way
Social/Emotional
• Life Space Interviews to decrease office referrals
• Weekly attendance meetings to review chronic absenteeism
Civic
• Keverian School/YMCA Partnership- Pop up Market and Food Truck

• ELA: Increase oral reading fluency and comprehension skills through responding to text and reciprocal teaching.

• Tiered system of intervention by Guidance department
