REQUESTING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
EPS educators can now request approval to attend any out-of-district professional development  or for credit-bearing courses. This process is taking the place of the “Course Approval Form” and the “Professional Development Approval Form” of the past.

How to request time: The first five (5) minutes of THIS video explains how to do this once you have logged into Teachpoint.

  • Out-of-District Professional Development: enter the total number of hours in the "Professional Hours" field which is the first option to the right of “Credits”.
  • Credit-Bearing Class: enter the amount of credits the course is worth next to "Graduate Credits" in the same “Credits” row.
  • Select Your Evaluator in the drop down menu next to “Event Approvals”
  • As demonstrated in the video, once the class has been completed, all participants MUST confirm their attendance and upload certificate on Teachpoint in order to receive PD hours or Graduate Credit. If a certificate or letter of participation was not provided to you after the course, please email the provider directly to request this information.
