Everett High School Education Pathway
First-Ever Mentoring Day a Huge Success
The EHS Education Pathway held its inaugural Mentoring Day event on January 26 at the EHS Library. A total of 65 students from Education 1, 2, and 3 courses all attended and participated in a series of table discussions led by Education 3 seniors.

The sophomores and juniors prepared questions about the Pathway, the EPS internship program for seniors, and the post-high school planning process. Students rotated between the tables to meet different senior interns.

This current cohort of seniors is the third class to complete the full scope of the Education Pathway since its establishment in 2018.  They have been working with students not only at EHS but also at the English, Whittier, and Keverian Schools.

Four graduates from last year's internship group are currently working full-time in the district as paraprofessionals: Fabio Galeano Euceda, Bethy Palacios, and Melanie Pineda Espana at the Keverian; and Cristina Snook at the Lafayette.

Thanks to Education teachers Sarah Simmons and Amanda Pickowicz and Pathway Director Ryan McGowan for organizing this opportunity for Everett High’s aspiring educators!
