Opportunities … And Stipends, Too!

As always, the EPS is relying on its talented and dedicated teachers and staff to join curriculum and leadership teams to shape all aspects of the educational experience. As you enjoy your summer, please consider lending your expertise in the following areas:

Civics Action Project Team
This team will support the implementation of project and community based action research in the Everett community. In accordance with state guidelines for the Civics curriculum, teachers and students will practice civic discourse, research strategies, and media literacy.

Just Words Reading Program

This two-teacher team will plan and implement a series of two-hour professional development sessions for Interventionists, Special Education, General Education and ESL Teachers who are assigned to literacy WIN groups in grades 4-8.

Foundations for Reading

This two-teacher team will plan and implement a series of three-hour professional development sessions for
Interventionists, Special Education and ESL Teachers who are assigned to Level 1 English Learner literacy WIN groups in grades K-5.

Investigating History Curriculum

This pilot team will help revamp the current Social Studies curriculum to increase rigor, historical accuracy and diversify content in grades 5, 6 and 7. With this grant, the district will be able to emphasize the importance of history and the foundational skills and critical thinking skills that history can promote, and emphasize the importance of interpreting historical merit as students make sense of the world around them.

The K-5 i-Ready Math Curriculum Implementation Team

This team will support teachers with the process of implementing the i-Ready Classroom Mathematics (2024) Curriculum. Team members will receive advanced training in the summer to set them up for success. During the summer, the team will review the scope and sequence documents for the curriculum and make suggestions.
