So, What Did You Do Over the Summer?

Congratulations to EPS Art Coordinator Caroline DiCicco, who continues to compile trophies
on the powerlifting circuit. Her latest first-in-class performance took place at the RPS Summer Sizzler at METfit in Natick. Great job, Ms. DiCicco!

Opportunities for Staff

Enrichment Opportunities

The district is seeking teachers and paraprofessionals to lead meaningful, engaging, and varied after-school activities and programming. Areas might include: debate, robotics, coding, art, physical activity, music and more. Program curriculum and training can be made available, or teachers can develop their own programming in collaboration with the Manager of Extended Learning and community partners.

Math Recovery Specialist

The EPS is seeking multiple educators to complete the Math Recovery Specialist Training, an intensive, 9-month-long program hosted by Math Recovery. The professional development focuses on teaching and learning concepts in the primary grades. Participants will be trained to provide targeted intervention with students and serve as a valuable resource for supporting school- and district-wide mathematics initiatives.

Grade 8 Amplify Science Piloting Team
This four-member Grade 8 teaching team will collaborate on successfully implementing Amplify Science with fidelity across the district. The team will create a scope and sequence, make implementation suggestions, and support the process of adopting high quality instructional materials for middle school science students. Team members will receive training directly from Amplify, as well as time to collaborate on the curriculum development.

Investigating History Curriculum Pilot Team

Deadline Extended!

This pilot team will help revamp the current Social Studies curriculum to increase rigor, strengthen historical accuracy, and diversify content in grades 5, 6 and 7.  The grant-funded team will enable the district to emphasize the importance of history, critical thinking skills, and the importance of interpreting historical merit.

Request for Longevity Pay: Paraprofessionals

In order to receive your longevity pay, EPS paraprofessionals must complete and submit the Request for Longevity Pay form from the district's website by Friday September 8th.  Longevity Pay for Paraprofessionals will be processed on September 27th.

The EPS is pleased to once again have $1,500 scholarships for staff members who are interested in earning a college degree through Southern New Hampshire University’s DUET program. The EPS-Duet partnership gives employees exclusive access to affordable and flexible degree programs.
