Innovation Pathway (IP) Advancement Team

Openings: Teachers & Coordinator

 

The EPS has been awarded an Innovation Pathways Implementation grant to support a year long project to develop the following guiding principles in Everett High School’s Innovation pathways: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, STEM Early Engineering Designation, Health Science, and Entrepreneurial Finance. To help, the district is establishing an Innovation Pathway Advancement Team with several opportunities for teachers:

2 for Computer Science
2 for Cybersecurity
2 for STEM Early Engineering Designation
2 for Health Science
2 for Entrepreneurial Finance


In addition, the Pathway Advancement Team is seeking a Grant Internship Coordinator to plan Senior Internships for the 2023-2024 school year, from October 10, 2023 through June 30, 2024.


From the Office of Extended Learning
Openings: Soccer Without Borders Assistant Coach and K-8 Tutors


The EPS is thrilled to partner with Soccer without Borders, a nationally recognized organization providing soccer and community building programming to recent immigrant youth and refugees across the globe. EPS is seeking an Assistant Coach who will support Soccer without Borders staff in recruiting and supervising up to 50 youth participants in grades 6-8. They will also participate in Soccer without Borders training and occasional weekend games and tournament events. The program meets the following dates from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lafayette field:


Fall Semester: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays October 17th-December 15th

Winter Semester: Fridays January 19th-March 29th

Spring Semester: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays March 26th-June 7th


K-8 Academic Tutors

The  EPS is seeking up to 20 licensed teachers to provide targeted high intensity after school tutoring for three hours a week for groups of 4-6 students with similar needs in ELA or Math.  Academic Tutors must be enthusiastic and well-prepared to deliver high quality tutoring to close gaps in the most foundational skills so accelerated learning can thrive during tier 1 instruction.

Academic tutoring will be offered first to students who have the most significant needs in literacy or math according to Acadience, DIBELs and i-ready mid-year assessments. Academic Tutors must create formative assessment reports for their group once a month and deliver them to the Intervention Success Team, School Leaders, and District Instructional Leadership Team. They are also responsible for recruiting students, obtaining parent permission, and ensuring regular attendance of at least 4 students and maximum 6 students in their tutoring group. 

 

Everett High School Science Department

Openings: Anatomy & Physiology Vetting and Selecting Team


EPs is seeking a team that will support the process of internalizing and implementing a new high-quality A&P curriculum at EHS. Everett High School’s Anatomy & Physiology Vetting and Selecting Team will work together to establish district priorities, instructional vision, curriculum parameters/non-negotiables, and implementation timelines. The team will work together to establish curriculum pacing, unit/lesson plans and common assessments. Additionally,  team members will identify items needed for engaging and meaningful laboratory investigations that promote student-centered learning.


The Office of English Learners

Openings: Professional Learning Community Facilitator, Participants


The Office of English Learners is seeking a facilitator to prepare materials, develop protocols, and guide collaborative conversations so that teachers can share learning to enhance effectiveness of EL instruction in EPS classrooms. The facilitator will read, prepare discussion materials, and be well versed in these four texts: 

  • How the ELL Brain Learns by David Sousa 
  • Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in 40 Questions by Valeria Luiselli
  • Textured Teaching: A Framework for Culturally Sustaining Practices By Lorena Escoto Germán
  • Breaking Down the Wall: Essential Shifts for English Learners' Success by Margarita Espino Calderon, Maria G. Dove, Diane Staehr Fenner, Margo Gottlieb, Andrea Honigsfeld


In addition, the district is seeking to stipend  15 current ESL Teachers to participate in this Professional Learning Community. Participants will also receive copies of all relevant texts.

5DP Professional Development

Round Tables for Shared PD Day on November 7th


The 5DP is looking for specific grade level teacher leaders or emerging leaders to lead round- tables during  the Nov 7th PD Day.  The 5DP leadership team will hold a training session for volunteers and help prepare the activity and slides. EPS educators are encouraged to lead or co-lead the following roundtable groups:

  • Round Table (TRT) 1: PK+ K educators (including MLL teachers, special educators, paras/SSPs, content specialists, etc for each group)
  • RT2: 1+2 educators
  • RT3: Grade 3+4 educators
  • RT4: Grade 5+6 educators
  • RT5: Grade 7+8 educators
  • RT6: Grade K-12, Visual and Performing Art
  • RT7: Grade K-12, Health/PE/Wellness
  • RT8: Grade 9-12, English
  • RT9: Grade 9-12, Social Studies/History
  • RT10: Grade 9-12, Science
  • RT11: Grade 9-12, Math
  • RT12: Grade 9-12, World Language educators
  • RT13: K-12 Instructional coaches/content leads
  • RT14: K-12 Digital Literacy/library media specialists/CTE
  • RT15: K-12 student + family support (social workers, counselors, guidance counselors, nurses, family liaisons, etc.)
  • RT16: Administrators (building and district)
