Devens School Thanksgiving Breakfast
Every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the Devens School hosts a breakfast for students, staff, families, distinguished guests, and residents who have strong bonds to the Devens and its mission. Above, retired Devens School art teacher Theresa Gritti and retired EPS educator and tireless Devens School contributor Eda Theodoridis are pictured with Interim Superintendent William Hart. Thanks to Principal Sean Kiley and the Devens School team for hosting another sensational breakfast!

An All-Star Advocate
Jeanette Velez Recognized by the MASC
Congratulations to Everett Public Schools (EPS) Community and Family Engagement Manager Jeanette Velez for receiving an All-State School Committee Award. A 12-year member of the Chelsea School Committee, Ms. Velez earned the honor in recognition of the significant contributions she has made to the Chelsea community and its students — a fact that can be said of her work in the EPS as well. Ms. Velez was recognized during a joint conference hosted by the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (M.A.S.C.) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Above, Ms. Velez (center) is pictured with Chelsea Superintendent of Schools Dr. Almi G. Abeyta and M.A.S.S. Co-Executive Director Mary Bourque.

You can access them HERE.

New opportunities from the 5DP
5DP Teacher Advisory Board (TAB)
We are looking for new members to join! TAB members act as liaisons to their home districts and help in review and analysis of feedback from events (like the PD Day) to design future programming and offerings. Interested candidates, please complete THIS FORM.

Teacher Fellows, Campus Without Walls (CWW)
CWW virtually links middle and high school teachers and classrooms within and across MA districts to collaborate on project-based, innovative, and culturally responsive minicourses. CWW Teacher Fellows are supported by master teachers to prepare, plan, and teach a 6 to 12-week thematic unit. This is an opportunity for teachers to learn new instructional practices aimed at improving students’ learning and engagement in school.
