Mr. Hart Interviews with the Crimson Times

Everett High School (EHS) senior Victoria Macao interviewed Interim Superintendent William Hart for a future edition of the student publication, “The Crimson Times,” on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, inside Principal Dennis Lynch’s office. Victoria was accompanied by the Crimson Time’s longtime advisor and veteran EHS teacher Christopher Wright and ELA Department Chair Ryan McGowan. She asked professional and thoughtful questions that featured a mix of the serious and lighthearted. Thanks to the EHS ELA Department and the Crimson Times staff for extending this opportunity to Mr. Hart!

Mr. Plotnick Aces Polar Plunge
Congratulations to Everett High School STEM teacher Neil Plotnick (above) for completing the LETR Everett Polar Plunge on December 10, 2023, at the Everett Recreation Center. The event was hosted by the Everett Police Department, in partnership with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), to benefit Massachusetts Special Olympics.

Mr. Plotnick and others braved the plunge into the frigid waters of the Massachusetts Special Olympics brand-new pool on wheels — aptly named Bear Force One! The event generated more than $16,000 for Massachusetts Special Olympics and the 14,000-plus athletes the organization supports through year-round sports training and competitions.

Mr. Plotnick received a plaque for being one of the event’s top fundraisers. Thanks to every Everett Public Schools (EPS) employee who participated in the district-wide Jeans Day on December 1, 2023, in support of Mr. Plotnick and the Special Olympics.

‘White Out’ Game a Huge Success!
The Everett High School boys basketball team tipped off the 2023-2024 season on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, with a “White Out” in which students and fans were asked to wear white to the game vs. Malden. Crimson Tide fans didn’t disappoint, as the EHS Gym was awash in white T-shirts as Everett downed the Golden Tornadoes, 59-52. But, as you can see, no one could outdo head coach Gerard Boyce, whose all-white suit lit up the Everett bench. Great job to Coach Boyce, his staff, and the EHS Athletic Department for creating such a great atmosphere for the home opener!
