AUTISM FUNDRAISER
The Everett Public Schools (EPS) recently completed a T-shirt fundraiser that generated $1,275 for the Wicked AUsome Project. Everett High Athletic Director Tammy Turner led the effort in recognition of World Autism Acceptance Month. EPS teachers and staff enthusiastically showed their support by purchasing the T-shirts and wearing them on Friday, April 26, 2024.

THROWING A PARTY
Members of the Arts Department learned the sport of axe throwing as part of a team-building field trip on May 3, 2024. The educators focused on their stance, balance, and accuracy. They learned and applied a variety of styles of throws and enjoyed games like “Around the World,” which participants try to hit three targets in sequence, and then in reverse.

District Instructional Leadership Team
The Everett Public Schools has formed a District Instructional Leadership Team (DILT) to work with content leaders in supporting district priorities and initiatives and to amplify teacher voices for their scope of projects. They will be opening several of their meetings to a Teacher Advisory Council to receive feedback on plans while they are being developed, and on action steps as they are completed.
