A Message from the Superintendent
Operating at Full Speed!
In case anyone hasn’t noticed, the 2025-2026 school year is hitting full speed. Keeping up with the activities and events on the Everett Public Schools (EPS) calendar is a sunrise-to-sunset proposition. As Superintendent, it gives me genuine pleasure to hustle around the district, keeping pace with your boundless energy and trying to attend as many events and activities as possible.

To the countless people who have played a role, any role, in planning and staffing any of our fall happenings — THANK YOU!

Above are two photos from Jason Snyder’s visit to Everett High School on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Mr. Snyder, the Massachusetts Secretary of the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS), visited three STEM classrooms and led engaging discussions and question-and-answer sessions with our students.

Below are three more photos: In one, I am shown with Key Club members and Advisor DeAnn Gallagher at the Kiwanis Club’s Annual Pasta Dinner on Wednesday, October 15, 2025; in the second I am joined by Whittier School Principal Michael McLucas and Assistant Principals Cara Fidalgo and Dr. Brendan Kent at the school’s Fall Festival; in the third, I am seated with longtime PTO member Christine Reno, Assistant Principal Keith Spencer, and School Committee Chairperson Samantha Hurley at the Keverian School fall festival — one of four such festivals we had this week in our K-8 schools.

This week also saw the Title I Department host breakfasts promoting math literacy and family engagement nights featuring a musical journey through the Caribbean; the Everett High Guidance Department hosted a college financial aid information session in the Crimson Café; and our tech team hosted a virtual cyber safety night for families. The pace won’t slow next week as we gear up for Homecoming. Click the full lineup and please follow us on social media and share the reels we are posting to promote the festivities on October 24 and 25.

Keep up the great work, enjoy your weekend, and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible as we continue to showcase our students, teachers, schools, and community.

Brandon Conde Day
The City of Everett is asking us to wear red as part of the annual Brandon Conde Day, which is set for Friday, October 24, 2025. The EPS has always been a spirited participant in this event, and we hope this year is no different. Wear red on the 24th and share your photos to Franci DaLuz ([email protected]) so we can share them on our social media channels.

Brandon is a lifelong Everett resident who is a tetraplegic because of injuries he suffered during a horrific accident in July of 2019. He attended the Parlin School, and he graduated from Everett High and Bridgewater State.
