WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH 2026!
Every Voice, Every Story, Every Day!
Weekly Message from the Superintendent
March is a month defined by gaining speed and building momentum.
Over the last two weeks, our elementary schools hosted Read Across America events that featured a long and distinguished list of guest readers from around the district and city. On March 3 and 5, we held two String Night concerts showcasing hundreds of student musicians across the elementary, middle, and high school grades. This week, the Athletic Department held its Winter Sports Banquet, while the Everett High Theatre Company staged “The Lottery.” Next week, the Music Department will host two Spring Band Concerts, and the Department of English Learners is holding a district-wide Family Bilingual Literacy Night at the Keverian School.
And this is only the start of something great! Activity and energy will ramp up in the coming weeks and months as we fill our calendars with the celebratory events, performances, and awards ceremonies that lead up to the 2026 EHS Graduation.
As always, my thanks to the countless teachers and administrators who devote their time, energy, and expertise to overseeing the district’s wide array of extracurricular activities. My thanks to our custodial staff for making sure our buildings are ready to welcome families and guests. My thanks to the EHS TV Studio for recording our musical concerts, taking photographs, and sharing content on social media. My thanks to anyone who plays any part in shining a spotlight on our students.
Have a great weekend!

Let’s Take a Closer Look …
Whittier School Grade 6 students recently learned how to use microscopes to examine a variety of samples, including pond water, muscle, and pollen. This activity allowed students to gain a better understanding of how living things are made of cells, the smallest unit of life. A shout out to Ms. Rachel Hughes for leading this engaging science lesson!
