Dennis Lynch Named EPS

The Everett Public Schools (EPS) has named veteran educator and building leader Dennis Lynch to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, effective July 1, 2025.
“Mr. Lynch’s experience across all grade levels within the EPS makes him ideally suited to fill this critical position within Central Administration,” said Superintendent William D. Hart. “I look forward to working with Mr. Lynch and seeing him make a difference for our students.”
In his role as Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, Mr. Lynch (above) will provide vision and leadership in all efforts and initiatives that support and enhance student learning. He will work collaboratively with educators in several major areas, including special education, guidance and counseling, health services, hospital/homebound services, school psychology, social work, dropout prevention, social emotional and mental health programming.
For the past five years, Mr. Lynch has served as the principal of the Parlin School (2020-2022) and Everett High (2022-2025). Prior to that, he was Assistant Principal at the Parlin, an EHS Dean of Students, and a social studies teacher.

Growing Better Every Day
The Madeline English School this week recognized students for their excellent performance on the i-Ready math and reading assessments, which track a student’s academic growth during a school year. At left is kindergartner Ryan Aryal, who received a certificate of achievement for his results on the math assessment. He is pictured with (L-R) Assistant Principal Tiffany Boakye, kindergarten teacher Maria Craig, and Assistant Principal Joel Levine. In addition, the school entered all K-8 students who achieved “annual typical growth” on the end-of-year i-Ready assessments into a raffle. Genealogy and Teaching
American Ancestors is hosting a free, three-day workshop for classroom teachers in the Greater Boston area. Teachers will receive lessons and strategies to incorporate family history into their existing curricula, and they will gain firsthand knowledge from professional genealogists, enabling them to replicate authentic research methodologies in the classroom.
Cost: Free, pulse a $200 stipend
Who: Greater Boston Area 4-8 grade HSS, ELA Teachers and Librarians
When: July 31 to August 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: American Ancestors downtown Boston
