Thank You, Mr. Brady!
The Lafayette School held its last Donuts with Dave gathering on Friday, April 11, 2025, as Principal Dave Brady is marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. After 13 years as an Everett Public Schools (EPS) principal, including the last five at the Lafayette, Mr. Brady is moving into the role of Director of Title I. Former Keverian Assistant Principal Janet Taylor is the new Lafayette School Principal.

Our Art All Stars!
Several of the district’s art teachers are pictured in the Everett High School Library during the K-12 Fine Arts Exhibition on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The event exhibition featured separate display areas for works by students in grades K-4 (main vestibule), 5-8 (second floor), and Everett High (Library). In addition, there were theater and dance performances in the Auditorium. Thanks to our art teachers for their work in preparing for this annual showcase!

Culinary Arts and the Community
The Everett High School Culinary Arts Department and the Crimson Cafe hosted a luncheon for veterans on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. It was the first in a monthly luncheon series launched by City of Everett Director of Veterans Affairs Antoine Coleman aimed at honoring our veterans and connecting them to the community. Thanks to our Culinary students for preparing a delicious lunch for our veterans. Everett Public Schools (EPS) employees are eligible to receive a Bluebikes membership without having to take a trial ride to redeem your membership. The annual membership provides users with an unlimited number of rides for the first year. The first 45 minutes of any ride are free, with a $2.50 charge for each 30-minute increment over. To qualify, all riders must do is create a free account on WaytoGo, the LMTMA's trip logging platform, claim your free Bluebikes membership in the "programs" > "rewards" tabs, wait for your approval email and program code, and then you're off!

Whitsons Food Service Culinary Competition
Thanks to Chief Technology Officer Joe Patuto (above, lower right) for serving as a guest judge for the 4th Annual Whitsons Food Service Culinary Competition on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Mr. Patuto joined Amy Mirra, Hannah Yoo, and Raymon Lebron from the Everett High School Whitsons team in judging the dishes, which were developed and made by students working in groups of two or three. Congratulations to the winning team of Jen Solis Garcia, Jonatan Chavez, and Izabella De Oliveira Moreira for their winning dish — Chicken Cacciatore with rice and broccoli — which will be served during an entire lunch block in the EHS Cafeteria during a school day in early May.
