Speaking of Poetry …
Madeline English School seventh graders flew at the chance to earn extra credit by participating in a poetry challenge from their teacher, Mr. Noel Smyth. The students memorized and, using rhythm and rhyme, recited the first three stanzas of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” for their teachers and classmates. Pictured above, from left: Roary Luxton, Ava David, Yarissa Santos DeLeon, Mr. Smyth, Taj Stokley, Dimitri Kotsiopoulos, Daniel Harr, Marcelo Borges Nunez Filho, teacher Traci Murphy, and Emanuelly DeQueiroz (in front).
