Winter Wonderland at the Madeline English School
The Encore Resorts Foundation held a Winter Wonderland Pajama Gift Day at the Madeline English School on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Representatives from Encore Boston Harbor transformed the library into a festive space, replete with trees and decorations. One by one, every class in the school visited the Winter Wonderland and every student selected a set of new pajamas. It was a first-class event hosted by Encore professionals and the Madeline English leadership team. Above, Encore personnel are pictured with Principal Paolo Lambresa, Vice Principals Tiffany Boakye and Ana Kolokithas, Deputy Superintendent Gretchen Manning, and EPS Director of Safety and Security Lauren O’Connor.

Math Recovery Training
Math interventionists and instructional coaches last week attended an intensive, four-day training program led by the consultants U.S. Math Recovery. The educators focused on strategies for assessing math proficiency to determine what students can accomplish inside our classrooms. Participants also discovered ways to help students build towards grade level proficiency. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the curriculum team looks forward to offering more training opportunities like this to a wider variety of staff in the future.
