Registration Requirements
Registration for all grades takes place at the Parent Information Center. The student must reside in the City of Everett in order to attend the Everett Public Schools except for Homeless Students and Foster Care Students. These students will be enrolled immediately, and the Homeless Liaison and Foster Care Liaison will ensure that the records are obtained from the previous district. Military students will be enrolled without official records if the official educational records were not available at the time of the transfer. Everett Public Schools Enrollment/Residency Policy- 3b


Every person shall have the right to attend the public schools of the town where he actually resides, subject to the following section. No school committee is required to enroll a person who does not actually reside in the town unless said enrollment is authorized by law or by the school committee. The exception to this policy are homeless students and foster care students. Any person who violates or assists in the violation of this provision may be required to remit full restitution to the town of improperly-attended public schools. No person shall be excluded from or discriminated against in admission to a public school of any town, or in obtaining the advantages, privileges and courses of study of such public school on account of disability, homelessness, race, color, sex/gender, gender identity, religion, national origin, ancestry, or sexual orientation.
