Tiffany Boakye Named Principal of the Devens School

TUESDAY, JULY 1, 2025

Superintendent of Schools William D. Hart is pleased to announce that Tiffany Boakye, an experienced Everett Public Schools (EPS) teacher and building leader, has been named Principal of the Devens School. Her appointment is effective on Monday, July 7, 2025. Boakye has served as an Assistant Principal at the Madeline English School since July of 2022.

The Devens, a co-educational therapeutic day school, serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 who are eligible for special education services. The school was initially licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Secondary and Elementary Education in 2012 and provides Everett students with the opportunity to receive services that previously required an out-of-district placement.

Ms. Boakye, who holds a master’s degree in special education, has been an educator at the Madeline English School for 16 years. She served as a Grade 4 special education inclusion teacher from 2010-2015 and a Grade 4 classroom teacher from 2015-2022. She was actively involved in several initiatives at the Madeline English, including the Title III English Language Acquisition Team, the Data Team, the Instructional Leadership Team, and the School Council.

In June of 2024, Boakye earned a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) associate certificate from Cornell University. The TCIS system creates a trauma-sensitive environment where students and adults are safe and feel safe, proactively prevents and/or deescalates potential crisis situations with students, and helps students improve their coping strategies. During the 2024-2025 school year, Boakye provided TCIS training to 30 EPS educators and staff members.

Ms. Boakye earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Fitchburg State College, a master’s degree from Endicott, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Leadership from American International College.

“The opportunity to lead the Devens as it focuses on raising achievement and strengthening instructional practices aligns deeply with my professional goals,” Boakye said. “I am ready to engage staff, students, and families in a shared vision for excellence and equity. With strong district support, I am confident that together, we can make meaningful, lasting change.”

When she isn’t working in the Everett Public Schools, Ms. Boakye loves spending time with her husband, Eugene, daughter Elleanna, and son Lennox.
