Forecast Calls for Fun

Kelly Ann Cicalese, NewsCenter 5's “Weekend EyeOpener” meteorologist, led a fun, informative, and interactive presentation on Tuesday, November 26 at the Webster School.
Speaking to the school’s two fifth-grade classes, Cicalese related complicated meteorological concepts and phenomena by using easy-to-grasp language, demonstrations, and visual aids. “Kelly Ann’s enthusiasm for meteorology is so natural and engaging,” said Webster School Principal Denise Hanlon. “We can’t thank her enough for giving such an enjoyable and educational presentation to our students."
Before coming to Boston, Kelly Ann worked at WSAZ-TV, the lead television station for the Huntington-Charleston market in West Virginia, where she served as the weekday evening Meteorologist. Originally from New Jersey, Kelly Ann is a graduate of Rutgers University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology. While at Rutgers, she was involved in the university's television program and was a member of the Rutgers Meteorology Club. She also has an Associate Degree in Mathematics.
The Webster fifth-grade teaching team members are Jennifer Cuthbert, Sarah Boyce, and Virginia Dailey.
