Tech Goes Home
Updated on July 6, 2022
The latest group of Everett Public Schools (EPS) parents and guardians have earned a certificate of completion and a Chromebook for completing a technology class from organization Tech Goes Home — or TGH. Thirty participants are finishing the latest session, which was offered in four sections: Haitian Creole (10 parents/guardians), Spanish (8), Portuguese (6), and English (6)
Participants learned several essential basics, things that are designed to build confidence in using technology on the most fundamental levels. Topics included internet basics, email management, intro to Google Suite, navigating Google Classroom, and saving attaching documents and PDFs. These skills are helpful in a number of ways, from pursuing employment to connecting with your student’s education.
Thanks to everyone who make this program such a huge success, starting with the EPS Family Liaisons who teach the classes in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and English.
