Everett High School students participated in an exciting and innovative program hosted by the organization Advancing Women in Transportation (WTS-Boston) aimed at getting girls interested in the transportation sector and STEM subjects. The 2019 Transportation YOU Boston Summit was organized by WTS, MassDOT, and the MBTA, and hosted by the Harvard University Science Center on Saturday, Oct. 26. The event, open to girls ages 8-18, offers hands-on workshops to introduce participants to a wide variety of transportation careers. There will also be an ice cream social, opening and closing remarks by industry professionals, and mini-activity tables between workshops.
