The goal of Title I is to provide a higher quality of education for every child and to support parents to help their children.

Title I is a federally-funded program designed to ensure that children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach a minimum proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Title I Goals

• Support both small group reading and math intervention
• Improve teaching strategies

As a parent, you can influence your child’s success in school. Parent involvement is an important aspect of Title I. We encourage you to be actively involved in your child’s education.

You can become more involved with you child’s education by:
• Attending family events at you child’s school
• Volunteering at your child’s school
• Joining your child’s PTO
• Attending parent-teacher conferences
• Communicating with your child’s teacher regularly by phone, email, or notes.

Title I Parent Advisory Council

The Everett Public Schools Title I department would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a member of the Title One Parent Advisory Council. The council consists of parents who are interested in being more involved in their child’s school. The purpose of these meetings are to discuss current topics that impact our children’s education, planning educational school programs, workshops and parent educational trainings. The goal is to increase parental and community involvement in the Everett Public Schools.

The committee meets 3 times a year please join us to share ideas and news from your school with other council members. We appreciate your time and effort of volunteering to serve on the Title I council.

Research over decades confirms that parent involvement is a critical element of successful schools and high student achievement.

Monthly Calendar/Newsletter

Our Title I calendar and newsletter are a great resource for you to be aware of and engage in your child’s activities. Engaging in these monthly activities support your child’s reading and math at home

Needs Assessment Survey

In an effort to better meet the needs of the students. The assessment survey is a process that helps school teams learn about areas of strengths and areas in need of improvement. At the end of the school year you will receive a survey.
