Everett High School (EHS) held its first-ever Future Teacher Signing Event on Thursday, May 9 inside the Crimson Cafe. Borrowing the tradition in which an athlete signs a letter of intent to play a sport at a specific college or university, the EHS seniors who participated in Thursday’s event signed a document pledging to pursue a career in education. Participating were:
Stephanie Carballo Morales
Oscar Lopez Escobar
Danielle Molina Villalobos
The students briefly talked about their experiences in the Everett Public Schools, their favorite teachers, and the reasons why they want to pursue education in college. Vice Principal Christopher Barrett served as Master of Ceremonies, while history teacher Wayne Bailey represented the EHS faculty. Food was prepared by the Culinary Arts Department.
