PTLW Signing Day

Project Lead the Way

A large group of Everett High School students attended the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) High School Showcase and STEM Signing Day on Thursday, May 2 at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
The showcase was an opportunity for all PLTW high school students to present projects from PLTW courses to industry professionals. All teams received real-world feedback and qualify to win three industry chosen awards.
Borrowing from the tradition of high school athletics, graduating seniors from the PLTW community participated in a STEM Signing Day event in which they were recognized for their scholastic achievements and celebrated for their post-secondary education plans.
The showcase and STEM Signing Day were created to bring together the PLTW Massachusetts community and to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of STEM students, their teachers and business partners.
Project Lead The Way provides transformative learning experiences for PreK-12 students and teachers across the U.S. by creating an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empower students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills they need to thrive. It also provides teachers with the training, resources, and support they need to engage students in real-world learning.
The PTLW pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science engage students in hands-on activities, projects, and problems; empower them to solve real-world challenges; and inspire them to reimagine how they see themselves.
The Everett Public Schools partners with PLTW on curriculum and programming and professional development.
