About the Special Education PAC

What is the Everett Special Education Parent Advisory Council (PAC)?

Massachusetts State Regulations require your school district to create a district-wide PAC, offering membership to all parents of eligible students and other interested parties.

What does the PAC do?

  • Advises the district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities
  • Meets regularly with school officials to participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the school district’s special education programs

PACs have existed in Massachusetts since 1986. They have allowed parents of children with disabilities to make significant contributions, improving the education of their children.
